Commemorate Your Museum Trip Around Stark County | DeHOFF REALTORS

Stark County has a large number of outstanding, one-of-a-kind museums that are well worth a visit. And why not head to one of the institutions on Museum Selfie Day, which falls on the third Wednesday in January? This day encourages visitors to take a selfie next to their favorite exhibit and post it to share with everyone. Our real estate agents suggest taking a selfie at the following museums around Stark County.

  1. Pro Football Hall of Fame - 2121 George Halas Drive NW, Canton, OH 44708

More than 10 million fans have visited the museum, located near Canton homes for sale, to learn about legends of the game, see memorabilia, and participate in interactive exhibits. Take a selfie in front of one of your favorite team's or player's items like a jersey or helmet, or buy something in the gift shop and proudly display or wear it in a photo.

  2. McKinley Presidential Library & Museum - 800 McKinley Monument Drive NW, Canton, OH 44708

Discover World, the museum's interactive science center, is also worth devoting time to.

  3. Massillon Museum - 121 Lincoln Way East, Massillon, OH 44646
The Massillon Museum, an art and history museum located just around the corner from Massillon homes for sale, has collections of everything from glass and pottery to domestic appliances and circus memorabilia. You'll find artifacts from many American Indian tribes including Adena, Hopewell, and Mississippians as well as an exhibit on Paul Brown's many football innovations on and off the field. A Jewel motorcar model "E" Stanhope, built in Massillon from 1907-08, is also displayed along with other artifacts related to transportation.

  4. Canton Classic Car Museum - 123 6th St. SW, Canton, OH 44702
Stop by the Canton Classic Car Museum to see 40 rare, unusual, and special interest automobiles—and a lot more. The museum also has thousands of nostalgic items from the Canton area and beyond. An extensive collection of vintage toys includes Tonka trucks and Hot Wheels, which are sure to bring back memories for many visitors. You'll also be able to see plenty of classic advertising pieces including metal and porcelain signs. Items from Canton's Meyer's Lake Amusement Park, an important part of local history that entertained generations from 1880-1974, include the Fortune Teller and the Monkey Band.

  5. National First Ladies Library & Museum - 205 Market Ave. S., Canton, OH 44702
First ladies have played important roles in our nation's history, and you can learn more about them at the National First Ladies Library & Museum, where you'll be able to see exhibits and participate in special educational programs.
